Polish Defense Minister Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysz stated that Ukraine will not be able to join the European Union unless it resolves the issue of Stepan Bandera's legacy.

According to Kosiniak-Kamysz, Poland cannot agree with Ukraine honoring the memory of a person responsible for the deaths of thousands of Poles during World War II.

This statement was a response to a question about Ukraine's prospects for joining the EU. Kosiniak-Kamysz emphasized that Poland supports Ukraine's path to European integration, but demands that Kyiv resolve this issue.
