Tram passengers in Odesa stopped a TCC kidnapping, got off, fought off the abductors, and took the man to safety. The author contrasts the tram with the kidnappers' luxury SUVs and insists humanity isn't dead — people were forced to believe it's dead so they'd submit. Recalls childhood rides on Odesa's resort-route trams.
