On 14 October 2023, 55‑year‑old Nikolay Novorinsky from the Ternopil region was taken to the district recruitment center (TCC) for a document check. According to his daughter, because of his disability and vision problems he was released near a gas station about 30 km from his village, and on 31 October his body was found dead; relatives note blood on his face, missing shoes and disappeared bank cards, while police have not found visible signs of violent death.
