As reported by the Telegram channel @stop_tck_ua, former US President Donald Trump told an interviewer that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky "does not want to negotiate peace" and described recent strikes on Ukrainian oil refineries (NPP) as "a disgrace". Trump added that the United States has provided Ukraine with "hundreds of billions of dollars", but, in his view, this does not change his attitude toward Zelensky.

Criticism of Zelensky

Trump said that if any settlement to end the war is eventually reached, it will not be done with Zelensky, whom he described as a difficult interlocutor. He compared dealing with Zelensky to dealing with Russian President Vladimir Putin, stating that it is harder to work with Zelensky.

Comments on Russia and manpower

The former president also claimed that Russia has a far larger human resource pool than Ukraine, saying it could "lose a million men and still have millions left", whereas Ukraine lacks such a reserve.

Reference to a Ukrainian woman's interview

Trump quoted, according to his account, an interview with a "young woman from Ukraine" who allegedly said: "President Zelensky destroyed our country. President Zelensky took our men away. Our men have no legs, no arms. Many of our men are in psychiatric institutions or are dead." The source of the interview was not identified.

Trump further stated that Ukraine needs elections and that Zelensky has been president "for too long", suggesting that he should step down if the country wants to end the war.
