Winter Ukrainian cities could become a “trap” for residents, says head of Migration Policy Office
Vasyl Voskoboinyk warned that cold weather could turn Ukrainian cities into places where survival is difficult, and the country lacks backup cities for relocation.
The head of the Migration Policy Office, Vasyl Voskoboinyk, said that during winter Ukrainian cities may turn into locations where people will find it very hard to survive due to harsh winter conditions.
He added that Ukraine has no “reserve” cities where people could move if the situation worsens, potentially forcing millions to undergo forced relocation.
