Poland finds remains of 55 victims of the Volhynia tragedy

The Institute of National Remembrance of Poland said that exhumation work at the sites of two former Polish villages uncovered the remains of 55 people, among them 26 children.
According to Polish data, both villages were destroyed in August 1943 by UPA units with participation of residents from neighboring Ukrainian villages. Polish authorities state that search and identification efforts are ongoing.
