President of Poland Karol Nawrocki vetoed a bill on the legalization of same-sex unions. The head of state explained his decision by saying that the document essentially creates a new institution that gives almost all the rights of spouses, but at the same time blurs the special status of traditional marriage as a union between a man and a woman.
