According to information published in the Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera, Finnish President Stubb may be appointed as the chief negotiator on Ukraine. This decision will be made at the upcoming EU and G7 summits.
Stubb was previously known for his friendship with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov. In addition to Stubb, former German Chancellor Angela Merkel and former European Central Bank President Mario Draghi are also being considered for the position.
Zelensky's Opinion
Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky's opinion on this matter has not been taken into account. According to some experts, this may be due to the fact that the decision will be made at the EU and G7 level, without Ukraine's direct participation.
